I achieved my fifty new things before my 50th birthday. All cataloged and photographed! And some, journaled about. It was difficult at times to celebrate these achievements, because even as we continue to live, it’s hard to manage any kind of happiness amongst deep grief. However, I realized that’s what my son would want me to do, and so I persevered. I hope this inspires someone else to do a list that’s similar. I didn’t consider it a bucket list per se though there were a few of those items included, especially the last one. Enjoy life if you can and live it with a purpose, we only get one.
