Artist owned and operated by Rebecca Ainslie. This beautiful space will put you at ease immediately. Check her out on FB and get on the books as she is in demand and the spots fill up fast! You won’t be disappointed. Rebecca also made us cry when she showed us some Alex love while in the Grand Canyon. Showing us that we weren’t far from her mind and that she was thinking of our son. She’s a genuine and loving person and we are proud to know her.

It’s no secret that I love coffee. And I have several favorite shops so I have to spread the love out. So for my small town pick it’s Farmhouse! Super cute walk in space in Clatskanie and a drive through option here in Rainier. The girls are unbelievable kind (especially when you drop your debit card inside your car door!) and the coffee is the bomb! Plus they have treats. Owned by Boss Babe Deanna Robbins. Show them some love! ![]()

This beautiful little book store is located in Castle Rock, just north of Kelso. Situated in an old bank and outfitted with it’s own coffee shop, it’s the coolest book shop in town. Comfy chairs, a children’s nook with a book lovers atmosphere, you can’t go wrong. It’s worth the little drive to experience this beautiful shop. Did I mention there’s coffee???

Not every Boss Babes business looks the same! Meet Skyler, another sweet girl I’ve known forever. She is a stay at home momma to two little boys and she runs a Farm Stand. It has over a thousand followers and she creates some of the neatest stuff! Not to mention the farm fresh goodies she puts out almost daily! Her fiance helps her and together they are showing their boys that hard work and love in the right combination bring you immense happiness. So if you’re local to my area, go seek her out!

Mikayla makes the cutest attire and is a wonderful stay at home mama. I’ve known her since she was a little girl as her mama and I are very good friends! She even made her mom this amazing shirt when we were on strike! She’s worked very hard to be where she’s at and she makes me so proud! Reach out to her for all #TeamAlex swag going forward!

My friend and my hairstylist! Kaile is a mama of two beauties and a beautiful soul. She is extremely talented and can always make my scattered hair wishes come true! Located on Commerce Ave in the Merk, she styles out of Split Enz. Call her for an appointment! You won’t be sorry. Oh, and she does this other thing, Happy Juice! She swears by it. It’s helped her with a chronic illness, mood and just all around feeling better. Even the babies drink it. Reach out to her for more information!

Twisted Tees is owned by Cassie in Ridgefield, WA. I found her through my fellow Grief Sister, Dana, who lost her beautiful daughter Molly earlier this year (pictured above). Cassie reached out and offered to supply Dana with T-Shirts and other swag to honor Molly and to bring awareness to the needs of our teens and their mental health. She’s done this for several other families during their worst nightmares. If that’s not a bad ass Boss-Babe, I don’t know what is! If you need something custom made and live in SW Washington, you should contact Cassie.

One of two pizza joints in my little town, Hometown pizza is owned by Nina Pogue. This wonderful little pizza place is dripping in Rainier Pride. Jersey’s on the wall with photos of our little town sandwiched between them. A little video poker room and a good size salad bar. Our family has had many gatherings here from birthday parties to sports awards. We appreciate the variety they offer and the atmosphere as well. They also deliver and do carry out. Next time you’re close, stop in for a bite. And check out their menu online! https://www.hometownpizzarainier.com/

The very best organic coffee shop the NW has to offer. Owner Melissa Vandervalk makes sure to have pleasant baristas (that get to know you) and wonderful, healthy food to go. With multiple locations to serve you, there’s no excuse to go without your caffeine. They hold a special place in our hearts as they were so generous as they ran fundraisers for our family after we lost our son Alex.

Opened in 1997 by Rainier sisters Wendy and Jan this shop has been a lifesaver for me all 26 years. Offering great used clothing for babies and bigs alike not to mention furniture and toys! I’ve personally saved thousands of dollars! Now as a Grammy I get a special 10% off too! If you don’t find something you didn’t look hard enough! It’s thrifting at its best! ![]()

Located in Rainier this is the cutest little thrift store! Jam packed with treasures you will spend time just enjoying the process of looking! Not to mention the owners are super sweet people who are there to help with anything. Jill is so authentically kind and truly loves people. It’s a wonderful addition to our little town.

Can you say sourdough? Well Valarie sure can! And she can make it too! Stay at home momma to a beautiful little girl (soon to be big sister) , turned baker and entrepreneur! I’ve known Valarie for a long time and she is a firecracker. She is online and at the Clatskanie Farmers Market, hit her up for some amazing home baked goods!

I’ve known this Badass Boss Babe her entire life. She hasn’t had it easy either. She has had to work damn hard for everything she has, that being said she comes highly recommended and her work speaks for herself. Need a one time deep clean or a regular appointment? She’s your gal!

I’ve known this beautiful lady for a very long time. She started as my own Pampered Chef consultant, then as my director when I sold for about 7 years. But ultimately she’s my friend. She taught me how to cook, how to be a business woman, how to be a better mom, and how to speak to people. She is one of the kindest souls I’ve ever met and has a true passion for cooking. She is a die hard PC person and has been with the company for more than 20 years! Follow, order, book a show, refer her to others. Show your support. You won’t be sorry! PC is where it’s at!

Mandi is my absolute favorite person when it comes to massage! She listens to me and does exactly what I need. I’ve gone to her for a couple years now and whether I want a massage that relaxes me or one that works out the kinks, she delivers. Plus, the shop is adorable and has so many things geared towards wellness. Located on 15th Ave in Longview next to The Shamrock, it’s my go to for massage!

A small to the downtown Longview scene, this little cafe is an absolute must stop for anyone who likes good food! Owned by Angela Eyer-Harder, there is a full salad bar, home-made soups, sandwiches and a to- go case too! I’ve been here twice and my only regret is not having the space in my tummy for all the food they offer! Service is great and the vibe inside is relaxing and comfortable. When you’re in the downtown area you need to stop in and experience this for yourself. It will become a staple for you as it has for me. Check out their Facebook page to find out more.

Even in a little town like Rainier you can find a place for some self care. Our daughters friend Anna started working for Calming Waters earlier this year and she’s killin it! Owned by Teresa Youngblood, these ladies can give you the relaxation you’re looking for. Located right on Hwy 30, this adorable space is calling your name. Give them a call to get on the books! Let’s give this small business some love!

Started in memory and in honor of daughter Aubrey, Angie and Kyle began their screen printing business. It’s grown into a beautiful legacy for their little girl. Angie makes amazing items including almost all the jerseys for our school district, sports teams and other school events. She also made a donation to us for Alex and made T-shirts and decals for us as well. She does custom items for individuals and groups. And they also run an annual blanket and hat drive in Aubrey’s name to benefit the Ronald McDonald House. Everything about this Boss Babe Business is Beautiful. Show her some love! Follow her on FB and order some Alex swag if you want too!

I’ve been going to this bookstore for as long as I can remember. Filled to the brim with used and new books, you can find anything you need here. It is a treasure in Longview and the surrounding area and a staple for me. Check out the stacks for your next read.

Eclectic and so fun! Hands down my go to place for crystals and hand dipped incense. The smells alone are a reason to walk in the door. The family feel is the other. Watching this Boss Babe raise her little one right there in the shop is the best thing ever. River is extremely knowledgeable and can help you with anything. She also holds classes and events. If you need anything from sage to books to essential oils this is the store for you.

Yes, it’s in Idaho and no, I don’t care. Because Tabitha has the best merch on the web! She will make you ANYTHING! She will ship it to you and it will be high quality. I’ve purchased from her for so long I feel as though I know her personally and yet we’ve never met! You have to check out her website and FB pages. Everything from personalized T-shirts to tiny bags of penises! (Don’t re-read that it’s not a typo!) I own so much of her products that I should have earned the family discount by now! Hint hint. 😜

Rachel and Alex make the most beautiful macrame items and they’re bringing back an art that most thought had died out! However, the way they do it makes it cool again. Their use of color, design and style definitely makes their designs something I want in my house. They peddle their craft all around the Chehalis and Centralia areas. Give these Boss Babes a follow to see where you can meet up with them. (I’m a little biased too as Rachel is my niece)

My gorgeous sister niece who has worked her backside off to start and maintain this business. She’s so incredibly smart and can help you with any of your financial needs. She’s a wife & mama who balances it all beautifully. She’s the entire package. So if you need anything give her a shout!

Another beautiful artist! Scarlett is family and she stepped up just like family does. She did our memorial tattoos for Alex and she did then exactly how she wanted. She has her own unique style, collects stones and crystals and is just the sweetest person ever. Based out of Kalama, call to get on her books! Her art is magnificent!

Autumn is one of the hardest working Babes I know! She’s a NuSkin consultant helping people feel and look their best! She’s very passionate about the products and stands behind them. She also teaches Zumba at Forever Fit Gym. Your first class with her is completely free and only $5 after that. You’re even given a punch card, which once filled, will give you another free class. Did I mention that she’s also a wife, mom, Grammy and she home-schools too? She is a fierce woman that I’m proud to call my friend. Get healthy with Autumn!!!

Do you love furniture? Do you love watching it get a new life? If so, then Julie is the girl to follow. I’ve known her for almost 20 years and she has an amazing talent for bringing old furniture back to life. She can transform anything and because it’s her passion, the results are astounding. Her videos are so entertaining, no matter if she’s re-doing a dresser, a hutch or a side table, watching them inspire me. I will leave the sanding to her though. Check her out on Facebook and Instagram!
