We have all suffered through the “What’s for dinner?” scenario. If you’re like me, you’ve fallen into a few ruts in your time.
Thank God for the Internet!
I have found a few apps that make meal times so much easier. They are great for anyone, in any stage of life.

Instacart makes grocery delivery or pick up a snap! Just choose your groceries, review your cart, pay and poof! You’re done. No more impulse spending! You can keep to your menu and lower your weekly grocery bill.
Grocery Store Apps Very similar to Instacart, but they cater to the actual store. So you can choose your favorite brands. They will also save your frequent purchases, making re-ordering even easier. Again Meal planning and budgeting become that much easier to stick to. The ones I’ve used have a minimum purchase for pick up ($30) and that means that if I only need a few things, I can simply pop over after work. Word of caution; these are very popular post Covid, so ordering in advance is very important. I usually place my order the night before to ensure I get the time I want. Don’t forget to take your own bags!

Tasty, is my go to app when I am tired of what I’ve been making or when I want something specific. It’s full of easy recipes and has a great search option. It also has a meal plan and shopping feature. Enabling you to choose meals for the week, upload your grocery list, and send that list to Walmart. It doesn’t get much easier than that.
Pantry Check-Grocery List, How many times have you been at the grocery store and you buy something you already have? This app would save you the frustration of doing this. Download, make a free account, and start scanning. You’re taking inventory of your refrigerator and pantry to eliminate doubling up. There’s also a grocery list and it keeps track of your expiration dates! So many perks!

eMeals, I have been using this app for months. A friend introduced me to this perfect meal saver! There are several meal plan categories to choose from; heart healthy, kid friendly, low-carb, 30-minute, the list goes on and on. They too are linked up with Walmart, enabling you to upload your grocery list for easy pick up. There’s one feature I love….the “Cook With The Ingredients You Have”. You enter three ingredients you already have and it finds a suitable recipe for you. It has saved my bacon more than once!
Multiple studies over the last twenty years have proven that kids who eat meals prepared at home are healthier both physically and mentally. With the increased cost in everything it will also be healthier for your wallet. All of these time and money saving apps can be found on the App Store for Apple or Google Play for Google and Android products.
