When Friends Become Family

Not everyone has the blessings I’ve had in my life when it comes to friends.

Me and my bestie of 37 years

Throughout my life I’ve often found myself wishing I was closer to my siblings. I’m the youngest of five children and I was not a planned pregnancy. Hence, my siblings are much older than I am. Truth be told I’m closer to my nieces and nephews than my own sister and brothers.

My prayer warriors

I believe this is why God sent me the friends I have.

My girlfriends

My husband and I agree that we have the cream of the crop when it comes to this second family.

Baseball moms saved me so many times!

They have been there for us through thick and thin. They’ve supported us as a couple, as individuals and as parents. They’ve prayed for us, hugged us when we are falling apart and celebrated our greatest joys. They’ve held us up when we’ve had too much to drink or shared the bucket when we’ve both overdid it.

Family is everything

There’s been times when they were there when we didn’t think we needed them, but of course we did. Phone calls, late nights, early mornings, FB prayer chains, hospital visits and babysitting. They’ve done it all.

Best friends since 1987

They are our family.

And we are forever grateful and blessed to call them that.

You have a special place in our hearts and we love you. You know who you are. 😉

Work family. They’ve always got my back.
