Do You Have A Bucket List?

Have you ever sat down to list your “must do” list? Mine is in constant flux. I revisit it often and make adjustments, because life is constantly changing, the list is changing. What I wanted to do at 30, I no longer want to do at my present age. Not to mention that there are things I have done that I’ve been able to check off.

My current list has several items on it, 33 to be exact. I’ve only checked off 5, so I have some work to do. There are easy ones, like “Ride horses on the beach” and then there are the ones that are harder to do, like “Go on a Safari”.

Why should we make lists like this? Because it’s important to have dreams. To always be reaching for your next goal, your next step in this thing called life.

How boring would it be, to never try to reach a goal? Just get up, go to work, come home, pay bills, go to bed and repeat? That may work for some, but not this girl!

I want to live! I haven’t lost 130 pounds and counting to just sit in my little house in my little town and do a whole lot of nothing!

Raising my kids is my first priority and it’s a noble and glorious thing to do. It’s the task God has set before me, but we will live and stretch ourselves while they’re growing.

What an amazing example I can be for my kids by setting these goals! Giving them a visual of what those bucket list items are.

Children will follow the lead of their parents, and it’s so important to me to be a good example to them. I was not a good example for oh so long, and now I love life and I want to go on constant adventures. I hope they can see the difference.

So go right now, make a list of 10 items you must do in your life! Even if it takes you several years to mark them off, it doesn’t matter. What matters is that you did!
